Should WikiLeaks.org founder and editor in chief, Julian Assange, be charged with some type of crime against the U.S.?    - Submitted By: Ray

The truth is the truth and that should be the focus here. This is a case where the US is responsible for war crimes but everyone seems more concerned with how the info was released. If I were to keep a journal which detailed a history of murders, no one would be asking about the authorization for publication - I would be famous.

Anyone that caught with secret documents and leak the documents to another country or put them on line so anyone could read them should be treated as a traitor to this country. and by this country I mean America. We have let this country be lead by people who only think of themselves. when the leaders comes before the people that is so wrong. people come before the leaders. the leaders should not be paid for the job. when someone spend millions of dollars for a job that pays only thousands!!!!!!!

Not only should she be charged and punish, so should who ever gave her the information. treason is treason no matter you reasons.

It's an act of treason. Yes prosecute them. If we had this type thing in WW2 there would never have been a D-Day. I just hope my grandson gets home from Iraq before they can do any more damage.

I agree with jo that someone else will be made to take the blame! I personally think a deadly snake like this should have his head chopped off for all the lives this is going to cost! But of course, nothing will be done to him! He's already done what he set out to do - now he'll slither out of it! Is anyone else angry over this?

I agree with Jo. That should never have been published and, yes, the founder should be prosecuted. If our government would start prosecuting treason and other acts against the country as the crimes they are - including the prescribed punishments, I don't think folks would be so quick to reveal secrets to the enemy and the world.

I do not think they should be punish.I think it's the people in D.C.they should be voted out office and start a new.But we the people can not stick together to get the job done so the we have no one to blame but our stupid selves.

Jo hit the nail. This "transparent" administration speaketh not the truth. McChrystal is already the first victim. Eventually Holder will fall on his sword too. Those who fight and die know whether they are fighting a real enemy (in this case probably both sides) or someone's political/religious agenda. The difference in this war is that the soldiers have not been drafted...which makes them no less dead.

I am old enough to remember how the anti military feelings started during Vietnam, and this is the same. Those documents should not have been published. Wait you will see it get blamed on some low ranking person.
