The key word in National Day of Prayer is Prayer. The day was designated for all peoples of any walk of life, political view and religious believe to pray for all, not just the chosen few. Anyone can pray no matter where we are.

Lou: Graham isn't making degrading remarks, he is speaking facts. Islam has all the earmarks of being a cult. Doesn't matter how many decades it has survived or the number of believers. A cult is a cult.

Islam sucks. Women and children are treated despicably under this extremist so-called "religion". America should wake up and immediately cease the immigration of Somalis (particularly here in Columbus area where we now have one of the top three largest Somali populations in the entire country!) and all Muslims. Somalis get "political refugee" status which entitles them to remain here and receive all benefits paid for by legal citizen taxpayers! It's time to make our govt change laws on immigration.

I only wish SOME people would really read the Koran, I have. Reads almost exactly like our Bible. These terrorists are EXTREMISTS!! Not all Muslims are that way! Just like we're not all nuts here in the US!! LEARN PEOPLE LEARN so you know what you're talking about!! We have our religious nuts too!! Stop taking Fox News for gospel!!

During this entire issue, a question kept coming to my mind. "Why is it that we didn't start worrying about offending Islam until their radicals started killing us"? Daniel, based on the examples in your argument is easy to see that "You are stuck on Stupid"!

Wouldn't want to offend any Muslims serving in the armed forces of the US they might go crazy and start killing infidels. O right they have done that already!

Any religion that expounds death to anyone that doesn't belong to that religion should be banned from our shores. It's a clear violation of the laws of our country. Murder is illegal.

I agree with Daniel with one exception. Christianity has evolved,Islam never has. Christians have faced their wrong doings and have tried in every way possible to make amends, however the Catholic church is still one of the most corrupt institutions on earth and none of the Christian churches are anything that Jesus Christ ever intended them to be. Islam is one of the most violent religions and has been from its inception and still is. Maybe Daniel has forgotten 9/11/01.

Oh by the way Steve Obama claims he is a Christian so why does he always quote out of the old testament instead of the new? If O converted to Christianity then under Muslim law he should lose his head? Hmmmm...I see he still has it makes me wonder...it is a sure bet he didn't learn Christian charity or values from Reverend Wright who is soooo wrong. You watched to much Hollywood propaganda...Pulp Fiction EZEKIEL 25:15-17... not what Samuel Jackson said shows how words can change the meaning.

Daniel not disputing that religion has caused many heartaches for mankind but it is of mans hand not the will of God.The Indians were killing each other way before the white man ever came to America...Erie tribe extinction due to Indian Wars [READ OHIO HISTORY].Today Christians do not chop off heads because they convert to Islam though the latter does. Good followers do not treat their women like second hand citizens, pack animals. Slavery... all mankind is guilty of this horrible crime.

Daniel: You need to re-read your history. The Crusades were the result of a militant Islam that swept the area and practiced "Convert or be Beheaded". (This is well documented) As for Bush, your Communist/Socialist views are very clear. Christianity has not always done right however, it straightened out. Bush was not always right (who is?) but, his actions were in response to an unprovoked attack. That was right. I will pray for you! (As I do for all of God's Children). I am a Pastor!

Daniel I couldn't have said it better. And we wonder why so many countries hate us!! We're hypocritical about these things. We call tell who REALLY knows our history and OUR BIBLE!! I don't care WHO he is!!

It's funny as soon as someone opens their mouth, and they are white, that makes us racist. However, if you are a different color, you can say whatever you want. It is beyond getting old. The radical Islamists have hated Christians since the beginning of time. They are OUR enemy. This is still America, until Obama "transforms" us into commies!

Another prime example of the fact that our country has become so obsessed with being politically correct that we don't have the guts to stand for anything. I am a white, conservative, heterosexual, Christian with a job, how else can I offend you today.

Daniel: One purpose of history is to not repeat past atrocities. Islam is committing murder in these days. Islam identifies all who are not of their persuasion as being "infidels". The fate of "infidels" is to be killed and some Muslims consider themselves to be weapons of that destruction. Sects whose purpose is to kill others because they exist are not to be respected or tolerated ergo identifying potential terrorists is a must. The cure for PC is logical thought but fanatics rage.

I pray that one day Daniel will meet the one who suffered and died to pay for his sins before it is too late. Christians ENDED slavery, STOPPED the crusades, and have helped, fed, clothed, encouraged, and loved more people than any group in the earth's history. Franklin Graham is right. It is essential to call sin, sin in order to be in a position to receive God's mercy. The Army has violated the 1st Amendment which says government cannot prohibit the free exercise of religion.

Christians and Muslims have been against each other for a thousand years. Anyone who believes the Bible knows that Jesus is God. Muslims believe Allah is God. The Bible says Jesus is the only name by which one can be saved. Allah is The savior of Islam. You can see the obvious theological differences. Why would one expect a christian preacher to Change his beliefs for the sake of political correctness. If Muslims want to come to this country that's great but don't expect christians to embrace a

There are many in the military of this country who are the followers of Islam and other religions besides Christianity.. Franklin Graham can further the Christian religion by preaching it without making degrading remarks about other religions.

The airliners on 9/11 were hijacked by followers of a "prophet" who advocated child rape and murder. They weren't Baptists. As for the argument regarding 1000 year old Christian behavior , the cure was civilization. Not something endorsed by the Koran.

I'm sure all of you will conveniently not remember the crimes of Christianity: the Crusades, Inquisition, witch trials, book burnings, Indian Wars, George W. Bush, molestation, greed, the slave trade, etc. All of you naysayers should get your facts straight before you try to portray any other religion in a negative light by comparison to Christianity. Throughout history, the so-called Christians are the ones committed to the most bloodshed. Merry Christmas everyone!

so now i can't have an opinion about Islam w/out stirring up jihad-is? It isn't Christians that are terrorizing, threatening or killing our soldiers or civilians. It is Islamic terrorists. I am condemned because I am white anglo Y not them? We have Imam speaking against us and living here in the US, that is okay? What a load, zealot or not, right or left we are Americans and have the right to opinions and free speech. Americans! Not a religion Americans. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion!

The operative phrase is "that's a no-brainer". This describes the group that rescinded the invitation. Obviously this NWO group didn't do their homework. Neither Graham made those remarks in a broom closet somewhere. A "religion" which indoctrinates its victims to "kill the infidel" because that is its doctrine is indeed EVIL. No one within Islam has jailed or punished their terrorists. On the contrary, the criminals/killers are given refuge and cheered. The Nat'l day of prayer is now a farce.
