Lee: Whether your atheist position was decided on an "intellectual" basis or the witness of organized religion, I am sad for you. Humans are more than collections of marketable elements. We choose with what to fill our spirits. No matter what the gender any parent who uses a child to pursue "the greater good" will be held accountable. This child has a lifelong unchosen burden to bear. Secular humanism is a void that sucks up the "wise" and spews out feeling-based people whose lives are core-less

I am a Christian and I am not pro gay rights or anything near. However if they are going to choose to not let this child in due to the sins of his "parents" then any other child who's parents are gluttons (obese) should be excluded, or any child whose parents have ever lied, cheated, stolen etc as according to the bible, the sins of these parents are equal in God's eyes to this set of parent's sin.

Rick , check your scripture. Or is your main concern the collection plate?

Rachael , OK , I agree with everything in your last post. But the Constitution does NOT guarantee separation of church and state. It simply states the State shall not establish a religion. The nonsensical "legislation" by the judicial branch is un-Constitutional. The assault on religion by the government is long standing an unconscionable. And I'm an atheist.

Rick: Anyone can proof-text from Scripture. Judeo-Christian beliefs are still based on the Torah/Bible. The Anglican, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Christian and Methodist denominations have come to grief over watering down scripture to suit the public schools. The RC organization is not in much of a position to play with traditional values in view of the decades of protecting pedophile priests. This child is a pawn for adults' agendas. I strongly suggest you go to a Franciscan retreat house.

James 4-11:12: Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting judgment on it. There is only ONE Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you,who are you to judge your neighbor? WWJD I think I have some idea! I read my Bible and try very hard to follow God/Jesus word NOT mans!!

It is a private school, they set the rules. No room for argument! The "family" does not meet the requirements. Patch

I am a retired Catholic school teacher and for many years I was a parish minister of religious education. In both situations we had families enrolled where children had "two mommies" and at no time did we discriminate against children because of their parents. Plainly put: ONLY COWARDS PICK ON CHILDREN. Jesus said, "Let the children come to me..." The diocese there is neither Catholic nor Christian - rather, its Bishop is just a foolish false prophet.

How many times have "alternative lifestyle" people been warned time and time again that this would happen to them and their poor innocent undeserving children. Society may never be ready for this. Truly a no win situation. I can surely see why parents and parochial school officials would not have this shoved in their face when their religion and personal beliefs are against it! There are other schools.

Here we go again! Why do gays and lesbians do this??? Their way of life isn't normal and never will be! So keep your "not normal" lifestyles out of the lives of normal families and our children! And people wonder why there are so many children growing up to be screwed up adults! OMG!!!!!

Where is the Mercy which the Sacred Heart showed to the sinners? This is a child! He didn't create the situation. Why should he be punished for it?

I only disagreed because I think the kid should go and learn what their "2 Moms" are all about. Then they can make a good decision with their own life. And do the moms take the child to mass? Or are they just trying to "rock the boat"?
   - Submitted By: Rachel B

The kid has one mother, not 2. The Church is private, and can pick and choose, what makes these dykes think that their perversion must be allowed by this or any church?

A difference of belief alone isn't hatred or discrimination as evident by the mothers' decision to enroll their child in a Catholic school. The terms of acceptance are at the pleasure of the school, as all parents well know, and no child is guaranteed admittance. Knowing this, one cannot demand exceptions be made for one child. Many public schools have forgone fun traditions for fear of giving offense and eagerly embrace diversity, even over actual education. Parents, think of what you teach.

I want to know, and demand to know, who put these two deviants up to this. This is another example of someone out there trying to further enrage the freaks of our society (the two moms). Look, it's simple, this is a PRIVATE freaking school!! Stay out of my schools you freaks and deviants. When I pay tens of thousands of dollars for my kids education and you pay nothing (due to vouchers), you have no right to freaking complain. So, just shut up, suck it up, and stay the he** outta my life!!

Why would you want to send your child to a school that is going to teach them that their parents are choosing to live in sin?
   - Submitted By: Theresa

I think this is pretty simple. Jesus would not discriminate against someone in this fashion. It is God's right to judge, it is a Christian's duty to extend his hand in love. As for the pedophile priests, I am of the opinion that these men were never priests, but pedophiles who used the priesthood. These men were never called by God to serve.

Lee: Where on earth have you been? I am definitely no fan of liberals, greenies, global warming town-criers or the gov't run secular humanist public school system that has consistently dumbed down the nation's children to third world levels. Don't you care at all that children are the victims here? While you are picking up that boulder to hurl, please take a good look into your own eye.

Bad news , Rachael. The Constitution does NOT say anything about separating church and state. It says the State shall not establish a religion. That doesn't mean idiot liberals are allowed to tell theologically based schools how to operate. Since libs are so fond of evolution they should be all for not letting deviants reproduce. The "natural order" is so sacred to you people maybe you should follow it a little more closely. Just sayin'.

I, for one, am sick and tired of deviants demanding that the whole world not only put up with them but insist we all also pretend we accept it. The answer is NO. Sometimes you don't get what you want. Welcome to reality.

A Catholic school teaches that homosexuality is a sin. Why would they want to send their child there? They certainly should be aware of the teachings and place the child in another school. Are they trying to make this a test case?

Judy: Your points raise the spectre of children as lab rats. No child has ever asked to be created. Why would any set of caring parents of any gender expose their child/children to discrimination, derogatory comments and possible bullying? As a former teacher of LD children in a parochial school I witnessed "different" kids being teased. Despite gargantuan efforts by school staff members, the children were affected. Yep, they got tougher. In this case the parents should be dealing with the flak.

The child should not be punished because of his parents sexual orientation. While I completely disagree with the doctrine that bars homosexuals from church. I respect the right of the church to bar gay people from worshiping God as a part of their doctrine. Now if we could just reconcile all those pedophile priests, where do they fit in.

Whether the church, in this instance, could be found liable of sexual orientation discrimination is probably not as clear cut as it would be in an employment situation, providing the school is receiving federal funds. So, the school can probably do what it wants. I'm hoping those moms can find a better and more tolerant school environment for their child than Sacred Heart. BTW, Steven S, your responses provide a lot of comic relief, man.

Private schools have their own criteria and not necessarily PC. A couple of points: 1. The child has one mother and one step-mother two step-mothers or two adoptive mothers. 2. Do the women understand and accept that the child will be exposed to the Church's teaching?

It will be interesting in the future after they have had a chance to study how these kids with two mothers or fathers will turn out. Will they have a positive or negative effect on these children's lives. What will happen when other children find this out? Will these children be teased by their classmates?

While I may not personally agree with homosexuality, I do believe that the Bible states Judge not, least ye be judged.

I had two moms and 4 or 5 dads. I'm jealous Jesus got to suckle his own mothers nipple and I never knew mine. May be why I'm not a breast man.

Please do not confuse this as an issue over sexual orientation. This situation is very simple: All three gov't branches have insisted on separation of church and state. The church is merely being its own version of PC which according to endless precedents its right. Plenty of acceptable private pre-schools and beyond exist. Money does not seem to be the issue. What did the parents expect?

It is a private school and they have Religion class so they can do what they want. Also Jesus taught us to love and care for each other but to see Sin and know to walk away from Sin. Don't be confused its black & white renounce Sin,walk the walk in Faith not liberal utopian ideas being pushed on your children in public schools. Some public schools teach homosexuality with books like "My Two Dads" but GOD forbid the LORDS PRAYER be recited in school?Double standards just like the DIMOCRATIC party.

Daughter attended catholic sch. 60% of the kids were from 1 parent homes? Do they do this to unplanned pregs/unmarried moms? I think not, what surprises me as I watch catholic school enrollment decline that they turned down the tuition. sch board always espoused it's for the kids we do this, well it seems in this case that fell down. Maybe it's what we needed, take a stand no matter, maybe too many people afraid to take a hard stand? Not PC? Kids always get the brunt of adults stupid decisions!

Its a private school and they can do whatever they want. If you don't like it send your kids to public school.

The reason I agree with the Church is because it is a private organization, and it goes against their doctrine. If they are receiving funding from the taxpayers, I believe that should be pulled. I do not know why this couple would want to put their child in a school where the kids are going to treat them like pariahs anyway!

It is a religious school. They have their standards. If you don't like their standards, go elsewhere. Stop trying to force your standards, or lack thereof, on those you don't agree with. Tolerance??!!!
