Actors' Theatre Presents Much Ado About Nothing

Exhibit: Posting Patterns
Dublin, Franklin County
Posting Patterns is inspired by the images used today to encode information in posting and shipping mail and packages. Deborah Melton Anderson’s art quilts, evocative of society’s ubiquitous bar codes and meter mail stamps, are created in textiles. The artist works in pieced cloth methods, using heat transfers and water-soluble crayons sealed with a textile medium on cotton. Reception 7/6 from 6pm-8pm. (more)

From an 1806 James Gillray engraving to an editorial cartoon that helped Nick Anderson win the 2005 Pulitzer Prize, the range of materials added to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum during the past five years is remarkable.
